Qualified in 1964. Widely experienced in many aspects of routine and cosmetic dentistry.

Worked in practice specialising in smile makeovers and specially trained in 'Invisible Brace'

orthodontic treatment using the 'Clearstep' and 'In Line' techniques.

 

Dr Sandra Hochdoerfer                                                       

          

- Qualified 2001 at the University of Hamburg, Germany

- Doctoral dissertation 2003 at the University of Hamburg, Germany

- Two-year vocational training in a private practice (2001-2003) in Hamburg,   Germany

- Since 2003 at "Smiles By Design", Chester

- Fully trained in all aspects of conservative and prosthetic treatment options

  including implant-supraconstructions

- Specialist interest in the treatment of periodontal disease

- Specialist interest in cosmetic dentistry such as full “smile-make-overs”

- Specially trained in the orthodontic clear brace systems of "Harmonie" and

 “Clearstep”

Practice Manager: Beth Voisey

                                          

 
  

Beth is the practice manager; she is responsible for ensuring that the practice runs smoothly and that the rest of the personnel are where they should be at the right time. A job she does extremely well. Beth deals with all patient queries and ensures that laboratory work is present when it should be.

Dental Hygienist

 

Our Dental Hygienist is trained in the expert treatment of gum diseases. Gum disease affects the tissue supporting the teeth and is a result of gum infection (Periodontitis or Gingivitis). When the gums become inflamed, looking red and swollen with bleeding occurring when brushing or flossing, treatment is necessary to restore health. Another embarrassing effect is bad breath (Halitosis) which can affect your social life. If untreated the teeth may become loose and will be lost. There may be a link between gum disease and major diseases such as diabetes, heart and lung disease and Alzheimer's Good dentistry, like houses, needs to be built on sound foundations, which makes treatment a must.

 

 

Lifelong Dental Health

 

Of course, starting early gives the best chance for lifelong dental health. Good dental care starts in infancy, even before the first tooth emerges. By school age, children should be well on their way to a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. We offer NHS treatment for children.
